Texila American University had participated in Blood Donation Drive on World Blood Donor Day (June 14, 2015) to raise awareness of the need for safe blood donation and to thank voluntary blood donors for their life-saving contribution of blood
The World Blood Donor Day has been held on June 14 every year since its launch in 2004. This year’s campaign is themed "Thank you for saving my life,” according to world Health Organization
The theme of this year’s campaign is "Thank you for saving my life". It focuses on thanking blood donors who save lives every day through their blood donations and strongly encourages more people all over the world to donate blood voluntarily and regularly with the slogan “Give freely, give often. Blood donation matters.”
More than 30 students and staffs participated in the blood Donation Drive. The Blood Donation Drive aims to highlight stories from people whose lives have been saved through blood donation, as a way of motivating regular blood donors to continue giving blood and people in good health who have never given blood to begin.
