The meeting intended to discuss the introduction of programmes to Brazil and to seek the support of the Brazilian Embassy for when inquiries are made by Brazilian students interested in studying at TAU.
As part of the introduction, TAU will be offering scholarships to three (3) Brazilian students who excel at their FREE English Entrance Examination. Successful candidates will benefit from the following:
- Free Scholarship until Clinical Rotations

- Free Accommodation until Clinical Rotations

- 500 USD scholarship every year in Tuition fees
This initiative by TAU will help promote Guyana as a hub for affordable higher medical education, especially with the construction of the state of the art campus at Providence, East Bank Demerara. TAU strives to meet, if not exceed, the expectations of prospective overseas students, because the ‘Student Experience’ and the costs associated with an overseas education , including tuition fees and accommodation are becoming significant motivational factors for application to one country over another.
The TAU representatives also extended an invitation to the Charge d'affaires and the Ambassador of Brazil to atour of the campus located at Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
